Terms of Service

Effective date: 5 October 2026 · Version 5.1

These terms are an agreement between you and Finscious, operated by Aryan Babar as a sole proprietorship; not an incorporated company. By creating an account you accept them.

The service

Finscious is a Family Finance Suite: software that brings your household's whole financial picture — income, spending, bills, debts, savings and net worth — into one place and shows how each part affects the others. It is informational only. It is not a bank, a payment service, an investment adviser or a lender; it never moves your money and cannot act on your behalf; and nothing it shows you is financial advice — every figure is an estimate from what you enter, to be checked against your own bank and loan statements. Its figures are estimates based on what you enter and are not financial advice. Check them against your own statements before you act.

Your account

You must be 18 or older.

You sign in with Google; there is no separate Finscious password.

You are responsible for the information you enter.

Local-first and GCS

Local-first is the default and keeps your financial data on your phone; keeping a backup and your 12-word recovery phrase safe is your responsibility. GCS is optional and offered only when available; we may pause new GCS sign-ups. In GCS mode your data can only be recovered with your recovery phrase, which we do not have and cannot recover.

Price

Finscious is free. Nothing is charged and no payment details are asked for. If that ever changes, we will publish new terms and ask you to accept them first.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse, disrupt or try to break into Finscious, or use it unlawfully.

No warranty, limited liability

Finscious is provided "as is" and may contain errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from relying on it. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by agreement, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Ending

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend an account used to abuse or attack the service.

Law and changes

The laws of India govern these terms, and courts at Thane, Maharashtra have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer forum where you live. We will update the date and version above and tell you in the app about significant changes.
